MusicStudioSantaMonica.com is an independent guide to recording studios, rehearsal spaces, and creative facilities in and around Santa Monica, California. We research, visit, and compare studios so that musicians, producers, and songwriters can make informed decisions about where to record.

Our Process

We evaluate studios based on several factors: sound quality, equipment, pricing transparency, location convenience for Westside musicians, availability and flexibility of booking, amenities, and the overall experience of working there. We talk to musicians who use these facilities, and we update our reviews quarterly to reflect any changes in pricing, equipment, or ownership.

Our ratings reflect a combination of value, quality, and accessibility. A studio can be technically excellent but receive a lower rating if its pricing puts it out of reach for most working musicians, or if its location requires a long commute from the Santa Monica area.
